Smart, funny, and genuine

Can’t say enough good things about this podcast: the co-hosts are brilliant, self-aware, hilarious, and dedicated to doing the best job possible for their audience in reading and reviewing a slew of self-help books that span everything from very practical “how to”-type pieces to very spiritual and high level guides to boosting happiness and well-being. If you’re looking for an honest, well-thought out, and thorough take on the vast ocean of self-help genre, this is the podcast for you!

Look forward to this podcast every week!

Lisa and Misty deep dive into self help books with humor and vulnerability. I feel like I'm sitting around a table discussing a book with good friends! Highly recommed this podcast!

Great thoughtful content. Lisa & Misty are intelligent and fun.

If, like me, you are critical of the “self-help” genre, but also secretly need it, then this might be the podcast to help you cut through the B.S. and find the books that may be useful to you. Very entertaining, thoughtful, and fun— surprisingly. They read ‘em, critique ‘em, pick & pan ‘em, so you can skip the ones that aren’t right for you.
