    Start Up and Scale

    Start Up and Scale

In this episode, we're going to start talking about startups. Startups are the essence of Goal Boldly, a great idea or a goal with a great plan to go along with it. Unknown Speaker 0:13 In this episode we review: What qualifies as a startup and where are they originating from? The meaning of Unicorn in the startup world Failure rates Success framework that successful startups use What are the key attributes of a founder? Most importantly, we'll talk about how to scale and when you know you need to scale. A startup is a company in the first stages of its growth, operational growth, The last two decades have seen extraordinary growth of startups in China, US, India, and also the UK. There are 600 unicorns noted right now which is defined as a company with a billion dollar valuation. The US has 50% of the unicorns, China has 25%. and India and the UK always are vying back and forth for the third position. So why is this important? It's important because startups attract a lot of employees. And largely, these employees are so energized by the idea of future wealth, or whatever the mission is of the company, a lot of times these employees are working for less or no money. This is a large employee base that is essentially taking a risk on a company.

3 Ways Leaders Can Improve Wellbeing

3 Ways Leaders Can Improve Wellbeing

In this episode I discuss the state of today's workplace and the important role it plays on our wellbeing.   It’s no secret that we are more stressed and worried these days but Gallup’s recent report on The State of the Global Workplace finds that roughly 7 in 10 employees are struggling or suffering, rather than thriving.  This doesn't just impact company profitability but the productivity of the world’s economy.
Supply chain issues aside, I will dig into more of the facts and share some practical advice and expertise on what you can do to improve your own wellbeing, and hopefully inspire your to consider the humans you interact with on a daily basis
And of course no Goal Boldly episode would be complete without some goal setting.  I will help you set a goal that will foster your wellbeing, making sure you get the most important steps that are often missed.
Gallup is the only organization capturing these statistics on how life is going for employees in a representative sample of the world.
    You will hear:
What is really driving the productivity down in the workplace  Why the workplace is a core factor to our wellbeing  Why wellbeing should be paramount on every CEOs (and your) mind to drive profit and productivity  The #1 question CEOs (and you) should be asking to assess how healthy your workplace is Why even the best intended company employee programs aren’t working and what to do about it The missed step that most people make when setting goals and what to do about it.
