    Stella

The Goat Rodeo Variety Show is our very own mixtape of podcasts we're working on, stories we love and voices you can't hear anywhere else. Today’s episode comes from our very Chief Operating Officer Megan Nadolski. Megan is the oldest member of our team, something she never lets any of us forget, and she's the only mom -- but she doesn’t love to be described that way.
Megan’s oldest daughter, Stella, is headed for her first year of middle school. And over the summer, Megan was so nervous about it, that she felt the need to sit her down and talk Stella through it.

    Abridged

    Abridged

The Goat Rodeo Variety Show is our very own mixtape of podcasts we’re working on, stories we love and voices you can’t hear anywhere else. Today’s episode is for anyone who’s had a niche obsession. Something you love so much that you’ve learned every fact and detail about it. Something you’re so fixated on that you’ve baffled your friends and maybe even yourself.
Such is the case of Rebecca Seidel, who’s obsessed with bridges. Enough to make a podcast about it. Her show is called Abridged.
Each episode of Abridged is a love letter to these structures that get us from Point A to Point B. And each story is a little different. You’ll hear about a bridge that suddenly started humming, a photographer who’s climbed the bridges of New York City, ants who build bridges out of their own bodies, and more.
Today we’re playing you Episode 3 of Abridged, which is called “Singing Bridges.” I don’t want to spoil too much, but let’s just say it’s about someone who’s just as obsessed with bridges as Becca is. She recommends listening to this one with headphones on, if you have a pair around.

    Bad Therapy

    Bad Therapy

The Goat Rodeo Variety Show is our very own mixtape of podcasts we’re working on, stories we love and voices you can’t hear anywhere else. Our third installment is 'Bad Therapy.'
This episode is about healing. You can’t always do it on your own. For some people, that’s where therapy comes in. Problem is, good mental healthcare is hard to access. Therapy is expensive, time consuming, difficult. It’s hard to know what you need, and harder still to find the right provider. Audio producer Jay Venables has been there. So she set out to make a resource for people seeking better care—a roadmap to good therapy. But first, Jay had to go into the belly of the beast: a therapy session gone wrong.

    Queens of the Underworld

The Goat Rodeo Variety Show is our very own mixtape of podcasts we’re working on, stories we love and voices you can’t hear anywhere else.
Our first installment is ‘Queens of the Underworld.’ A show about some of the iconic women who are left out of the history books: the titans of industry who ran crime families and syndicates with an iron fist and with much less fanfare than their male counterparts.
Queens of the Underworld was produced by Isabelle Kerby-McGowan, and the rest of the Goat Rodeo creative team in Washington, DC.
