The wall is finally done and in record time – 52 days! But the book of Nehemiah does not end with the completion of this project. Why? Because God has something more in mind than simply building a wall. Nehemiah 8:1-12 shows us how God’s greatest desire was to build a people through His Word, not simply to initiate an amazing building project. As we study this passage, we are reminded that God continues today to build a people, His church, as we gather together.
