Some understanding derived from this part of scripture is that God does not forsake his own. Like then even now non-believers have tried to stop the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They tried to stop it by putting Jesus on the cross; but he is our risen Lord and Saviour. They tried to stop Christianity by murdering the Apostles; but they became martyrs and furthered the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here they have falsely accused Apostle Paul and were trying to shame him, but God allowed even in his bondage favor from the people, even from some of his captors. Point here is even though we suffer ridicule, abuse, even mockery, it will promote and further the gospel of Jesus Christ. People can murder people but they can’t kill the cause. God won’t let it be.

We learn here an example of godly wisdom. Jesus choose a man born blind and of a common life to perform a miracle. So we see here that socio-economic status in life doesn’t move God; but faith in him is what moves him. The chosen people of God, it seems, are the ones that complained and still complain about who, what, where, and how God chooses to demonstrate his love and compassion. Thank God that he is healing, delivering, prospering, and saving more than just the affluent in life; but those that believe in their heart that he alone is God.

Again, we see the agape’ love of God. This scripture is provided for our edification and exhortation. When and if we commit sin we have an advocate with the father; Jesus Christ, the righteous. However we go astray, true repentance made from an honest heart moves God. When people hold fast to the gospel, from this example, should not want to hold people guilty when they repent ; but rather rejoice with them for their genuine effort to get back to the truth. Since God forgives, my friends, so should we.

The wisdom discovered here warned the believers then and warns us even now that to just talk about the gospel of Jesus Christ and not do what it teaches is what defiled them then and us now. Beware of those that teach the gospel and don’t do what it teaches and choose to follow those that teach and do. Jesus taught that a man must be born again and those that followed his teachings were filled with the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost and since then for those that diligently sought and seek him. It’s what’s in the heart of a person that determines their destiny. Seek not to be satisfied following the traditions/customs of the contrary to gospel teachings of men. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and receive salvation or deny him and be eternally lost.

Here we see again the agape’ love of God through His son, Jesus to Christ. Jesus warned his disciples of the forthcoming atrocities that will be impose upon the church by nonbelievers, those that don’t know the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and don’t know that they don’t know. These are the teachers and preachers without the indwelling of the Christ of God, by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. However the church is reminded that for those that believe and embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ in the end when Jesus comes to get the righteous at the great resurrection shall be caught up to meet Him in the air.

God gave the Levites instructions to teach the people, His laws and His judgments, and His statutes. But God was angry then and also now because spiritual leaders were not and are not doing their assignments appropriately, which provokes God to anger which causes Him to release His judgments, His fury, His anger, and His wrath in the land. There must be true repentance, and genuine return to God, to live by His instructions.
