Glenda Goodrich (GG) is a mixed media artist, art doula, SoulCollage facilitator, and devoted practitioner of the vision quest ceremony. She uses a soulful grounded approach, along with an open heart, to guide others in exploring their creative potential. She offers a variety of creative arts workshops including her most recent offering, “13 Moons: Art and SoulCollage Quest” which uses art in a playful way to explore the 13 juicy life questions.

GG’s book, Solo Passage: 13 Quests, 13 Questions, chronicles the sacred ceremonies that connected her to the land, wove her into nature’s web, and transformed her from a woman who worked to please others into a woman who forged her own path. It is a profound reflection on the healing and restorative power of nature. GG is a grandmother of three and a great grandmother of four. She lives in a cottage in Salem, Oregon.

Golden Thread Podcast – Guest Laura Gates-Lupton

Golden Thread Podcast – Guest Laura Gates-Lupton

Laura and I had a very juicy conversation about why caring, talented women work their butts off and often don’t have much to show it in terms of money in the bank.

Laura Gates-Lupton is a financial feminist, and life & money coach for talented, hardworking, overgiving solopreneurs. She helps her clients to untangle old beliefs and fears about money, simplify their businesses, and smash their personal glass ceilings. As a former psychotherapist, Laura brings a unique combination of emotional and practical support to her clients. Her approach is based on a three-pillar framework for multiplying income without increasing working hours: breaking the habit of overworking, growing financial identity, and amplifying impact.

Golden Thread Podcast – Guest Kanwal Rahim – Pt 2

Note to listeners: this is part of 2 of 2 from my conversation with Kanwal. In this conversation, Kanwal shares her journey as she becomes a healer and weaves into her healing practice her performance and cultural lineage. At the very end I join Kanwal in a song!

A daughter of the Indus River and the Sindhu peoples, Kanwal works and plays at the intersection of theatre, sustainable community-building and meditative arts where she strives to understand how stories shape human relationships, resilience and r/evolutions.

Raised in Pakistan, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Canada, her artistic explorations reflect her nomadic and multidimensional upbringing.  She is a graduate of Second City’s program in Improvisational Comedy and Spoken Word at OCAD.

Drawing on her diverse experiences in movement and performing arts, Kanwal continues to explore body wisdom practices, healing modalities, ayurveda and plant medicine traditions to deepen awareness and connection, with a focus on honouring the integrity of the mental, emotional, physical, creative and spiritual layers of the body.

Kanwal has graced many stages in Toronto including Sound Poets Circle, SpeakOut, South Asia Calling Festival, Brave: Festival of Risk & Failure, Canadian Women’s Foundation and the Feminist Art Conference.  Her poetry has appeared in From the Root and The Living Hyphen magazines. She is working on her first digital audio-visual storytelling project interweaving memoir, poetry, dance calligraphy and photo meditations.
