Words escape me
I first encountered Tablestory and Pumpkinberry through Nocturne. I binged that show and it blew me away. I'd never heard a tabletop rpg actual play have that level of acting, storytelling, character development, etc. It became one of my all time favorite shows up there with my most favorite TV shows. So of course when PB announces her next project I have to check it out. 20 episodes in and somehow I'm beginning to think it may even be better than Nocturne. A lot of the Nocturne cast return in support roles, but the actors new to a PB show are every bit as top shelf as their veteran castmates. It truly is impressive how much acting chemistry people in different rooms all over the world can share via a Zoom call. PB has somehow upped her game in the plot construction department. The world of Gone is wonderful and fascinating. It's exciting to share the casts wonder as they make their way through it. This show is not just for people into ttrpgs. It is a show for everyone that loves a good story that gets people thinking about important issues and themes. Give it a listen and you won't be disappointed.
Just AMAZING
Every episode you may think you might have an idea of what might happen or what’s going on and every time it goes in a while other direction you didn’t think possible. Fantastic characters who take RP to a whole other level and and even more fantastic GM who knows how to set the scene. I’ve been enjoying every second and cant wait each week for more to pop up!
Prepare to be blown away
This is NOT your typical TTRPG. The Narrator (The Amazing PB) of this story guides the characters on an amazing and suspensful aventure. Although traditional improv is comedy, this is the best example of suspense and drama improv ever. The masterful narrator has obviously put a lot of time and effort into this amazing landscape and plot. The roleplayers are some of the best actors I have ever heard or seen. This is an edge of your seat, new surprise every week, wonderful show.
