S4E10 - Steve Camp
Steve Camp shares the inspiration behind his new Christmas song and album, which he wrote to bring joy to the world during a difficult time. He discussed borrowing a line from Isaac Watts' poem and hopes to add more songs to the album in the future. Additionally, he talked about his transition from being an entertainer to a pastor and how it has changed his worldview.
We also talk about the inspiration behind the song and how Steve Camp's life has changed since stepping off the road. Overall, highlighting the importance of spreading positivity and joy through music during challenging times.
We also touched on the challenges of being an independent artist and the limitations that come with not having the support of a record label. Steve shares his experience with cancel culture and how some of his products were thrown away by distributors due to pressure from the industry. They both agreed that Christians need to be careful of what they say and how they live in front of people, as they may be the only Bible that people get a chance to read. They also discussed the changing perception of Christianity in the world, from the 90s to today, and the need to be salt and light in the culture.
