"CIVIL WAR" Movie Review - Was It Too Political? (SPOILER ALERT) || 1217

Cinematography was amazing. The use of sound effects was amazing. The score & soundtrack were great.
The plot leaves a little to be desired if you’re looking for specific things. Those things are: Why and how exactly this happened. How long has it been since the war started, and what happens after the objective is achieved at the end?
You’re dumped into a world where you get a glimpse of the possible end of a conflict through the eyes of a few war journalists. There are no big-picture scenes from the situation rooms. You have as much information as the main characters. It’s as if Cloverfield were shot like a normal movie rather than found footage, and the alien attacking the country is MAGA.

Great Daily Listen
I joined the Fed Haters Club to lend my voice to the DBOTW vote. Over a year later, I’ve never managed to be there for a live vote. But I love the community. The show is great, love the hosts, love the personal stories, appreciate the banter and wit, etc. The Discord is where it’s at though. If you hate the feds like God does, you know where to go.
Lab grown meat
I could not care less if people want to consume lab grown meat, but I don’t want to because I don’t trust it. I also don’t trust processed foods period.
My concern is that I don’t want lab grown meat sold as “meat” without a prominent label indicating that it is lab grown.
Almond milk should not be sold as milk without indicating that it is almond milk. People who have nut allergies are at risk if it is just sold as milk.
Going back to the lab grown meat which is not natural in that steaks don’t naturally grow without the surrounding animal. The labeling should be that animal meat should retain the label and unnatural lab grown meat should have the qualifier so consumers know and can decide.
Same with milk, even goats milk has the qualifier because the word milk 99% of the time it is referencing cows milk.
Of course, another label will be created by concerned people like Organic, non-gmo, gluten free, etc. because people who promote lab grown meat assume that it is the same and people who are opposed to consuming it are ridiculous or ignorant.
This was the same with processed foods which are convenient but not so healthy and the girth of the nation is ample evidence. There is other evidence that indicates that there are more concerns other than the waistline with processed foods.
Like I said, I don’t care if you eat it, but I don’t want to and want to be able to easily determine what it is. I don’t want the labeling to be deceptive.

I don’t know why I waited several years to review this podcast, but it’s been pinned up at the top of my podcast list for a while. Witty, quick, fun banter. Top notch hosts with a high degree of sarcasm. News and current events discussions that devolve into humor and, sometimes, personal stories. Well worth a listen, doubly so on Fridays.
