During the second week of our celebration of Advent, we are looking at Love and its true biblical meaning. "What does love got to do with it?"

Join us in celebrating Advent this year starting today, Sunday December 2, 2018. Advent means the coming of Christ. We set aside four weeks (Hope, Love, Joy & Peace) to meditate, celebrate and examine our hearts in preparation of Christmas Day, the birth of our Savior. In order to see our need for a beautiful Savior, we need to see the depth of our darkest night.

He Gives More Grace. This passage encourages us as believers in the church to be faithful to God and not pursue our passions / lusts and instead go to God with our needs and learn how to humbly pray to love God and Love others.

James 3:13-18

"Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom... But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace."

We all need boundaries and to know how to use our speech for good and to please God. With our mouths we can bless or curse, we can encourage or tear down.  See what James teaches us in this warning passage about the spiritual discipline of godly speech.
