Status Check | Tim Kong | Life-Giving Relationships (Week 1)

Status Check | Tim Kong | Life-Giving Relationships (Week 1)

In this sermon titled "Status Check", our Director of Central Operations, Tim Kong, kicks off a new sermon series called "Life-Giving Relationships". He emphasizes the vital role relationships play in our lives, from our earliest days as infants needing our parents or caregivers, to our school years with teachers and classmates, to our workplaces with co-workers, and beyond into potential marriage, parenthood, grandparenthood, and friendships.

Drawing from Philippians 2:1-11, Pastor Tim highlights that the foundation for cultivating meaningful, life-giving relationships is Christ-like humility. Just as Jesus humbled Himself and made the ultimate sacrifice for our salvation, we are called to emulate His mindset of selflessness, valuing others above ourselves, prioritizing the interests of others, and embracing a servant's heart.

Through personal anecdotes and relatable illustrations, Pastor Tim unpacks practical ways we can demonstrate humility in our various relationships, countering the natural human tendencies toward selfishness, self-interest, and a desire to be served. He reminds us that every person we encounter is created in God's image and deserves to be valued and respected.

Ultimately, Tim emphasizes that our relationship with Jesus Christ must be the bedrock upon which all other relationships are built. When we pursue a vibrant, growing relationship with our Savior, His love compels us to lay down our lives for others, just as He did for us.

This thought-provoking message challenges us to take a "status check" on our relationships, examining areas where Christ-like humility may be lacking and committing to cultivating life-giving bonds with those around us. As Pastor Tim reminds us, relationships can be messy and challenging, but the payoff of thriving, God-honoring connections is well worth the effort.

Whether you're single, married, a parent, a co-worker, or simply desiring healthier relationships in your life, this message offers biblical wisdom and practical encouragement for building a solid foundation of humility, rooted in our relationship with Christ.

I Am the True Vine | I Am (Week 6)

I Am the True Vine | I Am (Week 6)

Are you spiritually parched? If so, this revelatory sermon could be the spiritual kickstart you need. Drawing from Jesus' powerful vineyard teachings in John 15, Pastor Rex guides you on an imagination-sparking journey toward abundant life and Christlike character.

Forget surface-level Christianity - the pastor dynamically redefines "fruitfulness" as the full, moment-by-moment expression of Jesus' nature through your thoughts, attitudes and actions. It's an eye-opening new paradigm that could reset your spiritual compass.

From this robust foundation, you'll explore the four key scenarios Jesus outlined regarding spiritual growth and productivity:
    No Fruit
    Fruit
    More Fruit
    Much Fruit

Which one most resonates with your walk today? Pastor Rex paints a breathtaking picture of the "much fruit" life exemplified by love, joy, peace and purpose spilling from every area.

But how do you escape stagnation and venture into those lush vineyards of abundant fruitfulness? Get ready to be realigned as the pastor unpacks three essential principles:

    1) How God's uncomfortable DISCIPLINE rouses you from seasons of fruitlessness through striking vineyard illustrations.

    2) When you're bearing some fruit already, how the Vinedresser's PURPOSEFUL PRUNING ushers fresh intimacy and spiritual impact.

    3) For the fruitful, how God beckons you into ever DEEPER awakenings of abiding in Christ's presence and power.

From convicting personal accounts of God's pruning...to startling revelations about what "fruit" truly involves...to uplifting visions of overflowing spiritual passion - this sermon will shake up your ideas about flourishing as a branch.

Whether you've grown disillusioned by fruitless patterns after decades of church...or you're a new believer sensing God's pruning hand in recent trials...this message could mark your pivotal turn back toward flourishing in Christ in powerful new ways.

After all, a withered, anemic spiritual life was never your created purpose. Yet vines often lie choked and drained by lesser priorities or lack of deep soul-abiding with the Vinedresser. This sermon is a summons away from spiritual shriveling toward bearing glorious fruit that shines a beacon to Christ's splendor.

So if your soul's crying yes to new awakenings, fresh nourishment, and blossoming transformation - or if you simply need re-centered on the True Vine - then don't miss this landmark message. It could catalyze you into unprecedented domains of abundant fruitfulness.

We pray this message from April 14, 2024 will bless you!!

I Am The Way and The Truth and The Life | I Am (Week 6)

I Am The Way and The Truth and The Life | I Am (Week 6)

Has this ever happened to you? You're having a spiritual conversation and someone hits you with "Well, all religions basically lead to the same God anyway, right?" Or maybe you've wondered that yourself when considering the vast array of world religions and beliefs about God that exist.

If so, then you'll want to watch this thought-provoking sermon from Pastor Rex as he tackles one of Jesus' most controversial statements head-on: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).

Right off the bat, Pastor Rex shares an explosive encounter he had with an angry student who vehemently objected to the idea that Jesus is the only path to salvation. You'll be captivated as the pastor re-enacts this hostile back-and-forth over the "fairness" of an exclusive truth claim like Jesus'.

As he dives into unpacking this verse, you'll quickly realize this is no shallow Sunday speech. Pastor Rex goes to profound depths, answering some of the most vexing questions surrounding Jesus' declaration:

    • If Jesus is the only way, what about all the people who lived before Christ? How were they saved? (You'll be amazed by the biblical solution)

    • What about young children and those with mental disabilities who can't comprehend the gospel? Do they have a chance? (Prepare to have your assumptions challenged)

    • But what about the unreached peoples who have never even heard about Jesus? Is God unfair to those who simply never had the opportunity? (You may be surprised by the answer)

With gripping real-life examples and rock-solid scriptural support, Pastor Rex carefully yet decisively dismantles the popular notion that all spiritual paths lead to the same destination. You'll come to understand why sincerely believing something doesn't make it true, no matter how noble it may seem.

At the same time, you'll be deeply assured that God's ways really are higher, perfectly just and drenched in unmatched mercy. Even if you've wrestled with doubts, you'll walk away with a fresh confidence that the difficult truths Jesus spoke are trustworthy and good.

But more than just clarifying thorny controversies, this sermon lands a powerful challenge: Will you respond to the light you have? Because Jesus left no room for complacency. He is the only legitimate way, truth, and life. All other paths ultimately lead nowhere in relation to knowing the Father.

If you've ever sensed a nudging to seek the one true God more fully...if you're unsatisfied with safe, shallow faith...if you're hungry to encounter Jesus in a newer, richer way - then don't miss this sermon. It could very well re-spark or re-orient your spiritual journey onto the one path that leads to abundant life.

In a world of countless counterfeits and dead-ends, here is a timely reminder that there is indeed one way that is true, trustworthy, and able to lead any sincere heart into eternal relationship with the Father. Prepare to be realigned, re-centered, and re-awakened to the exclusivity of Jesus Christ.

I Am the Resurrection and the Life | I Am (Week 5)

I Am the Resurrection and the Life | I Am (Week 5)

Have you ever wondered if there's life after death? Or questioned whether Jesus really rose from the grave? This powerful Easter sermon tackles those questions head-on with shocking evidence that will reshape how you view life, death, and the authority of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Rex dives deep into John 11:25-26 where Jesus boldly declares "I am the resurrection and the life." You'll discover two profound reasons why the resurrection is one of history's most pivotal events:

    1. To Manifest the Reality of Life After Death.
From the beginning of time, humanity has grappled with the ultimate question - "If someone dies, will they live again?" Modern science is even researching far-fetched ideas like head transplants to extend life. But as you'll learn, Jesus' resurrection provides conclusive proof that life continues beyond the grave. The pastor shares a gripping illustration that demonstrates why Jesus' return from death is undeniable evidence we can stake our hope upon.
    2. To Establish Jesus' Authority Over All.
Jesus made the outrageous claim to be God Himself. But His resurrection validated that He is indeed the King of kings and Lord of lords with total authority over heaven and earth. You'll be captivated by the account of "Doubting Thomas" who refused to believe...until he came face-to-face with the risen Christ. It's a reality check on whether you've surrendered your life to Jesus' lordship.

This sermon doesn't just analyze a Biblical narrative - it impacts the core of your beliefs about life, death, and who Jesus really is. Whether you're a skeptic or believer, you'll encounter profound truths that could radically reshape your perspective and eternal destiny.
Get ready to be gripped by the shocking proof of Jesus' resurrection and its power to offer hope, meaning, and new life available in no other person. After hearing this message, you may never view Easter the same way again.

I Am The Good Shepherd | I Am (Week 4) | Rex Keener

I Am The Good Shepherd | I Am (Week 4) | Rex Keener

Have you ever felt unknown, uncared for, or just like a number lost in this vast world? If so, this powerful sermon on Jesus as the Good Shepherd from John 10 is for you. Pastor Rex dives deep into the intimate, sacrificial love with which Jesus knows and cares for His sheep.

You'll discover three profound truths about the heart of the Good Shepherd toward you:

    1) Jesus Knows You Fully
Despite our hyper-impersonal society, Jesus calls you by name and knows the depths of your soul - every struggle, fear, hope and dream you carry. Prepare to be comforted by the reality that you are never just a number to your Savior.

    2) Jesus Made the Ultimate Sacrifice for You
As the Good Shepherd, Jesus didn't just know His sheep, but willingly laid down His life for them. This sermon unpacks the unfathomable, committed love that led Christ to the cross for you. You'll be moved by the stark contrast between the Good Shepherd and the "hired hand."

    3) Jesus Wants You to Know Him Fully
While Jesus intimately knows you, He also deeply desires for you to know Him - to recognize His voice and follow His faithful guidance. You'll learn how to abide in Christ's word and listen in prayer to experience the abundant life only the Good Shepherd can provide.

Grounded in powerful Old Testament imagery and Jesus' teachings, this sermon paints a beautiful picture of the Good Shepherd who left the 99 to find you. If you've felt lost or alone, be reminded that you are fully known and cherished by the One who tenderly calls you into intimate relationship with Himself. Come and experience the safety, security and purpose found in the loving arms of the Good Shepherd.

I Am The Light Of The World | I Am (Week 2) | Rex Keener

I Am The Light Of The World | I Am (Week 2) | Rex Keener

Join us for the next installment in our "I Am" series with the powerful message, "I Am the Light of the World." Grounded in John 8:12, John 9:5, and 1 John 1:5-7, this sermon explores the profound implications of Jesus being the Light.

The central idea is clear: when we walk in the light as He is in the light, we experience fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus purifies us from all unrighteousness. The exploration begins by shedding light on the stark contrast between light and darkness in spiritual understanding.

Consider the image painted by Proverbs 4:18-19, revealing the path of the righteous as a dawn that shines ever brighter until the full light of day, while the way of the wicked is shrouded in deep darkness. This imagery sets the stage for understanding the transformative power of Jesus as the Light.

In 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, we're reminded that the god of this world can blind minds to the light of the gospel, underscoring the spiritual discernment required to comprehend the profound truths offered by Christ.

The exploration then delves into the foundational question: What does it mean that Jesus is the Light? Drawing insights from Isaiah 60:19-20 and Revelation 21:23-25, we grasp the profound impact of Jesus as our everlasting light, bringing an end to days of sorrow and eliminating the need for external sources of light.

Moving forward, the sermon examines what it looks like to live in the light, emphasizing vital fellowship with God and refreshing fellowship with one another. The message unpacks the truth that walking in the light involves confessing sins and experiencing the purifying work of Jesus, resulting in fellowship with one another and, most importantly, with God.

Finally, we are challenged to let our light shine, as Matthew 5:16 encourages us to showcase our good deeds for the glory of our heavenly Father. This practical application emphasizes the transformative power of living in the light of Christ, radiating His love, grace, and truth in a world hungry for genuine goodness.

Don't miss this enlightening message that explores the transformative power of living in the light of Christ. Join us as we learn to navigate fellowship with God and one another while allowing our light to shine brightly in a world that needs the radiance of Jesus.
