The Grammar of Grief
Life comes with many joys and many losses as well. We consider some losses 'greater' than others such as the loss of a loved one versus the loss of a limb, or as in my case, the loss of all body hair from an autoimmune disorder in our hair obsessed world. Pain is pain. Loss needs to be grieved to re-establish equalibrium and find a new normal. What is excruciating for one person, is merely an annoyance for someone else. Grief is expressed differently in various cultures. We can not compare and qualify or quantify grief.
Uma's knowledge and experience blends into her empathetic nature in a depth of understanding and a richness of expression that is rare and wonderful. There is acceptance here, and healing for those who need/want it. This is a podcast you will want to subscripe to even if you are not experiencing grief currently. The time will come when Uma's wisdom and words will be just what you or someone you know will need to stop the emotional bleeding of loss and find a soothing balm to enable the difficult mending process ahead.
