Denver Water with Jessica Alexander
Denver Water was founded in 1918 and has built an elaborate collection system to route snowmelt to the Front Range for Denver Water customers. Denver Water began diverting water through the Moffat Tunnel in the 1930s to deliver water to the City of Denver.
Jessica Alexander, Environmental Scientist at Denver Water, walks us through a variety of topics including the Colorado River Cooperative Agreement (CRCA) which began a long-term partnership between Denver Water and the West Slope. Grand County Learning by Doing was born of the CRCA agreement. More information available at www.grandcountylearningbydoing.org

The Story of the Granby Bulldozer Rampage
On June 4, 2004, Marvin Heeymeyer unleashed his gigantic, armored, tank-like bulldozer upon the small town of Granby. It was an act of defiant, but misguided, revenge upon those who he perceived had done him wrong in a long series of local property disputes.
Patrick Brower, author & businessman, sits down with me and discusses the event that led to the rampage, and the unintended outcomes which are apparent in today's society.

Trinidad: Once dubbed the "sex change capital of the world" by the New York Times
Award-winning author, and Granby resident, Martin J. Smith discusses the little-known history of Trinidad, Colorado, and his new book, Going to Trinidad.
Once dubbed the "sex change capital of the world" by the New York Times, Trinidad was known to the worldwide transgender community between 1969 -2010, as the destination for 6,000 patients seeking relief from gender dysphoria. Going to Trinidad explores the medical history of gender confirmation surgery as seen through the eyes of two patients with very different journeys.
No matter which side of the discussion you fall; the conversation is quite interesting and very enlightening.
