Welcome to the Grappling Dads Podcast! We’re two old dudes who love Jiu Jitsu, and we happen to be fathers. Hence the name: Grappling Dads. We’re a weekly podcast that answers the questions you’re constantly thinking about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. While our knowledge is limited at best, we go to the real expert – Kroyler Gracie – to get way too much detail that we struggle to understand. That’s right, we’re the conduit to a member of the Gracie family and we can’t read good. Each week we loosely focus on a topic regarding Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, such as how to start a roll, Gi vs. NoGi, how to keep your kids involved, farting during a roll, and many more insightful topics. The answer is always Gi, no questions asked. We will fight you. We also take listener comments and questions and try to respond in a timely manner (aka whenever someone checks the email inbox).Remember to always trust the technique (aside from actual podcasting skill) and join us on your Jiu Jitsu Journey (we hate ourselves too).

Entertaining podcast, bad audio levels

While I listen to your podcast for the first time in my big boy car, I can’t help but notice that your audio is crazy low. I nearly had to max the volume just to hear it. However, that didn’t deter me from enjoying the content. Thanks for giving more to add to my library. Just have to remember to turn the volume down before I start listening to something else.

Regurlar guys who love Jiu-Jitsu

I have been listining to these two since March 2019 ... I know, a long time. What I like about this podcast is that they are every day Joes , not professional athletes. They struggle with the same things I do , Work, injuries, Jiu-Jitsu ect ... As a new white belt who is over 40 and going thought some what the same this podcast has been great depot of laughs, motivation, and believe it or not ... information. Oh ... did I mention the great community on Flick Chat? Oh yeah ,,, I've had questions answered about my Jiu-Jitsu by a host of people in the community. From whites belts going through the same to black belts that give deep insight to problem and answer.
I started listening to a podcast and gained a hobby, sister podcast(Just JiuJitsu) and real cool community. Thank you.

Mandatory for learning and laughing

I have been listening to the GD podcast since the beginning but just now figured out how to submit a review despite a hundred episodes of them asking for reviews.
This is exactly how my Jiu Jitsu learning is going as well. I feel at home listening to the GD podcast bc unlike experts they are relatable.
They have real jobs, families, multiple injuries so you feel like your hearing one of your buddies talk vs the super skilled expert that describes techniques in funny languages as if that helps me learn it any better.
