The decision to admit a patient is based on patient needs and the hospital ability to provide those needs. If the hospital cannot provide those needs then patient will be transferred to another facility. And information about patient will be shared with that facility. These will include reasons for transfer. And summary of care already provided. We must provide privacy. Access only the medical information that you will need to do your job. Do not share password, shut computer after use.Do not share information of patient in a nonworking area such as the elevator. To take good care of our patients, it is important to recognize the communication needs. What language does patient speak.
