Phil’s Story: What went wrong
Not only is this interview a poignant statement on the failure of our addiction recovery system, but it is also an exploration into the collateral damage suffered by family and supporters of those lost in the throes of addiction. This honest conversation articulates their personal pain of loss as well as their deep frustration with societal disregard for the human toll of the opioid crisis. I have so much respect for these three brave women who share their pain and frustration in a loving and compassionate way. Ross Mitchell
Thank you Angela!
We (Frank, Eleanor and myself) can't thank Angela enough for telling our story and playing "Remember Me" to a larger audience. Angela is such a terrific interviewer, made us comfortable in sharing our thoughts/feelings/story and she is very experienced in developing a podcast that provides the best information to the listeners. Every Grieving Out Loud Podcasts provides the heart and soul of all involved...and helps so many people with the grieving process.
Phil’s Story: What went wrong
Through Phil’s loving mother and devoted physician, we learn about his beautiful spirit, painful struggle, and the devastating failures of the insurance and treatment systems. I learned a great deal and I am moved to learn more and to find ways to act. I thank Kate, Dr. Aviva and Angela for their courage in sharing Phil’s story.
