Groove Colonie Podcast 027 w/ Kroto Groove Colonie Podcast

For Kroto, music is as much about feelings as it is about the drum and the base, all of the ones that keep you moving long after your legs are tired.

Originally from Aleppo, Syria, Kroto has long been obsessed with electronic music, combining Progressive, Melodic and Deep House, Techno and Electronica-Downtempo amongst many others.

Beginning his musical life as a drummer in Aleppo listening to Psychoaleppo and Boshoco, his library grew with his travels around Turkey, picking up records from the likes of Township Rebellion, L.S.G., Adana Twins, Solee, Clawz SG and Blancah.

During 2018 Kroto performed with a group of Turkish and Syrian DJs looking for ways to bring their sounds to a Southeastern city with a population of over three million, but with very small venues.

So they started to play in underground raves in empty pools, abandoned buildings, circus tents and after a while they finally found regular nights in some inner-city caves, one of the only venues that could deal with the growing crowd - and the bass sound.

You may also find the tracks list below:

2. Effervescence (Original Mix) by Monarke, Tal Fussman
