The best electronic music podcast, period

Updating for 2019 - still the best. Steve puts his heart and soul into these mixes and it shows. He takes you on an emotional ride with some of the best modern electronic music out there and he's been doing it for going on 14 years. Amazing.

Above and Beyond Group Therapy is pretty good but Steve is a one-man curator of the house of music and his exhibits are always personal and meaningful.

Just updating for 2012 - Steve is just as humble and passionate as ever, as he has been for *six years*. The mixes get better each time. Most DJs are lucky to last one or two years. One of the best podcasts, period.

Original review:

If you think dance music is monotonous or one-dimensional give this podcast a try. Steve brings a unique flavor to each and explains how and why he is doing so.

If you want to try one to as an example of this, try "The Swing Set"; it's everything that's unique and cool about this cast. The Burning Man mixes are also classics.

Thanks Steve for everything you're doing and please, please keep doing it.

Love it!

I was looking for some good electronic music to fuel my late night working sessions and Groovelectric consistently fits the bill. The mixes are largely funk-based, but Steve Boyett branches out into other areas at times, keeping the sound fresh. I'm hooked.
