Making Friends Along This Journey: Kathy and Thom Gottberg Growth Minded Marriage

    • Personal Journals

Kevin and I have been on a quest to find "our people". We know that our friends can influence our thoughts, feelings, and actions. Which is great, but Mary was always left wondering, "How are we supposed to meet these magical people?!" Well, now we have some answers!
Kathy Gottberg is an author, blogger, and free thinker.  She has been a writer for nearly 40 years; publishing 7 books and blogging at SMARTLiving365.com since 2011. Her husband, Thom, is a commercial real estate broker who has been committed to living his motto "You get to make it up". They are a true team,  supporting and pushing each other forward in all their endeavors. After a fluke encounter with Kathy's powerful message about Rightsizing, Mary mailed her a very excited handwritten Thank You card, and asked Kathy to be her mentor. This conversation followed a Zoom call the week before and many emails back and forth. We are so grateful, truly, that we can look to Kathy and Thom as role models, examples of what this journey may look like, and a glimpse into all the possibilities that still lie ahead.

Some of our favorite resources from Kathy and Thom:
1st Vlog ever about setting Intentions instead of Goals Kathy's book Practical Spirituality had me rotating between running to tell Kevin things and taking notes. Kathy gives reviews of books she's read. I love this one. The Practice by Seth Godin.
Free Conversation Prompts from this episode to help start your own growth minded conversations. Happy Chatting!
Here, at Growth Minded Marriage, we are committed to growth which means we are open to all feedback. We would love to connect with you in any of these ways.
