Guide to an important writer’s work
Glenn & Brent discuss Gaiman’s Sandman and other works in ways that make those more accessible and interesting. They obviously love the things they are reading and it is a joy to share their appreciation.
Great deep dive into the Sandman series
I just started reading Sandman for the first time and this podcast works as a great companion to the experience.
The insight the hosts provide offers not just a deeper look into the world of Sandman and DC comics but how the stories are influenced by real world events and established history and folklore.
I definitely recommend it, especially if you are enjoying sandman for the first time. It clarifies a lot of the text and I think gives me a better understanding and appreciation for what Neil Gaiman was trying to accomplish.
Perfect companion
I’m doing my third read through of this series and found this excellent podcast. Absolutely love how the hosts point out so many of Gaiman’s references and allusions. It makes the read through that much more enriching.
The only draw back is that it’s only once a month so my reading outpaces their schedule. Will definitely go back and check out everything I missed after each episode comes out!
