Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel, the children of a poor woodcutter, are abandoned in the forest when their stepmother convinces their father there isn’t enough food to go around. Clever Hansel first leaves a trail of pebbles to find the way back, but on the second attempt, his trail of breadcrumbs is eaten by birds. Lost and starving, the children discover a magical candy house, only to fall into the clutches of a wicked witch who plans to eat Hansel. Using quick thinking, Gretel outsmarts the witch, shoves her into her own oven, and frees her brother. Together they escape with the witch’s treasure, return home, and reunite with their grieving father. From that day on, they never knew hunger again.
