Finding Your Travel Frequency: Bridging Wanderlust with Reality

Finding Your Travel Frequency: Bridging Wanderlust with Reality

How often are you taking a vacation these days? Have you settled into a routine of one or two trips a year? How do you feel about that?

I have always been good at taking consistent vacations, but it’s also easy to get stuck in a cycle of how many vacations seem  'normal' or 'allowed' instead of admitting that we truly crave more adventure in our lives.

So on this short-and-sweet episode, let’s uncover how often your soul truly wants to get away, so we can give meaning to the idea of 'traveling more' with a tangible frequency.

Reminiscing Our First Adventure Abroad w/ Kyle Gillmeister

Reminiscing Our First Adventure Abroad w/ Kyle Gillmeister

I only travel with a very select few people. One of them: my not-so-travel-obsessed hubby. When I had the idea to have him come onto the show as a guest, I was so surprised he didn't shoot down the idea immediately, but it was a blast having him on.

Our chat turned into a laid-back reminiscing session about our very first adventure abroad that we took early in our relationship. What my husband refers to as a "not normal trip", this adventure left us with a ton of funny stories and plenty of evidence that we can do hard/new/sketchy things together.

Plus, Kyle shares his perspective on being married to someone whose passion is planning vacations, even though travel isn't his top interest. Tune in for a genuine, candid conversation with one of my favorite travel companions – my husband, Kyle Gillmeister.

Melanie Marsell ,

A fresh take on travel talk!

What sets this podcast apart for me is the balance wellness and travel, while still being relatable and realistic. So often travel is glamorized, so it’s refreshing to hear someone talking about the complex emotions and challenges that come along with travel too. This is a must-listen for anyone interested in a deeper conversation, great insights, and travel inspo!

Lemme/Hunker ,

Just found you yesterday.

I am loving your podcast. I like how they are not too long. I have chosen a few podcasts over the last few days but see many more topics I am interested in. I do love US travel stories that include details of the journey and the destination. Where to eat and drink and budget friendly suggestions. I am also interested in your story, how you started your business. Thank you for what you are doing and you are truly keeping my interest. I look forward to when I have a drive so I can listen to more! Looking forward to increased happiness with increased travel!

Travel and Then Some

This has quickly become one of my absolute favorite podcasts. I love how Angela covers different topics—from destination guides to timeline tips for planning a vacation to big picture ideas like how to adopt an adventure mindset in your life. She is relatable, positive, and insightful. If you’re just starting out, go listen to her travel style series. Game changer!
