When She Makes More - What it's like to be the female breadwinner with Farnoosh Torabi
Women have made great strides in the workforce over the years, but we still have a long way to go. According to a recent report from the Institute for Women's Policy Research, women are now the primary or sole breadwinners in 40% of households with children. This is a big shift from just a decade ago, when only 24% of households had female breadwinners.
So what's it like to be the woman carrying the financial load for your family? I decided to ask Farnoosh Torabi, New York Times Best-selling author of the book "When She Makes More" to talk about this topic.
As the female breadwinner in my family for the past 8 years, I can relate so much to this topic! -
The Financial Implications of Anorexia Nervosa with Erin Reiland
The financial implications of anorexia nervosa - that's what today's podcast is about. We all know that anorexia nervosa is a serious eating disorder with potentially deadly consequences, but what you may not know is that it also has some very real financial implications.
In this episode of the Hard Money Talks show, we'll take a closer look at some of the costs associated with anorexia nervosa and how they can impact both the individual sufferer and their loved ones. We'll also discuss some ways to get help if you or someone you know is struggling with this illness.
In this episode, I brought on Erin Reiland, who is recovering from Anorexia and is also a certified eating disorder and mental health coach. She blogs over at inbodylovecoaching.com.
Eating disorders themselves are a hard topic to talk about, but she shares the intimate details of how someone with an eating disorder gets in trouble with money. This episode was an eye-opener for me and I know you will really enjoy it! -
