A Great Baseball Podcast That's Just Going to Get Better

I am a recovering sports talk radio listener. I have always enjoyed listening to people talk about baseball in particular, but I was turned off by your average sports talk radio because I couldn't deal with the testosterone-laden hot take world of casual sexism, homophobia, and racism that occurs to frequently within the sports talk world. This podcast is definitely NOT that. Starting with the calming music and the friendly introductions by The Harball Times hosts, I immediately knew this podcast was for me.

The three hosts- none of whom are dudes- come to the podcast each week with insightful, funny, and thoughtful perspectives on baseball and how baseball acts as a mirror to society. They are at their best when they are talking about topics that they are passionate about, whether it be nerdy stastical details, social issues within baseball (especially, but definitely not limited to gender, sexuality, and race), or advice for women entering sports media. As this podcasts grows, it's going to be wonderful to see where they take it. I think that at 20-some episoded in they are still working out some kinks, but I think that as they grow more confident in the role of hosting this podcasts, it's going to be great to see where it goes. All three of the hosts, Jen, Mary, and Sarah are great follows on Twitter and I hope that they all begin to feel more comfortable as they continue to work more of their personal perspectives into the sport and how it relates to larger social-political-economic issues. Great job! Keep it up!

I really like this podcast because when I listen to them I feel like I can finely hear what I feel about baseball said though the hosts , but then when I’ve tried to reach out to them I’ve just been ignored. As much as I love the opinions & commentaries of the hosts I feel like they just do it for them.
