Informative and inspiring
As a military veteran, I am extremely grateful to have found the Head Space and Timing Podcast. It is empowering to hear directly from veterans and also learn about various organizations that are determined to help us succeed. More importantly, it reminds us we are not alone in our struggles. Lastly, full disclosure I was also fortunate to be a recent guest and it was an amazing experience. Duane is very insightful and I appreciated not only his guidance but the manner in which he holds conversations. This Podcast does not shy away from sensitive issues but it is done in a respectful manner that has really helped me since I started listening.
Invaluable resource for vets and those who support them
This podcast is a powerful source of information and perspectives for veterans who seek to understand what isn't clicking right in themselves, and for those who seek to help such vets.
The host, Duane France, is a combat veteran and counselor who understands both sides of the relationship between vets and therapists. He's great at speaking to both audiences, which is a rare and invaluable ability - as vets can't be talked to as if they're civilians.
And that's what makes this podcast so amazing: He actually talks to his audience of veterans in ways that so few can outside of the military, and does an outstanding job of spreading a philosophy of healing to them. With veterans being so exposed to psychological harm, and having such high suicide rates, France and his work are exactly what we need.
I can't suggest this podcast strongly enough.
Important conversations!
Duane does a great job with this podcast! These are such important topics, and ones that you do not find on other podcasts. Veteran mental health is someting that we all need to be more aware of, and Duane and his guests do a great job of filling that gap.
