Heads and Volleys is a grassroots Soccer game that reflects the youth soccer environment.
The game was played as everyone VS the GK and you could only score with a header or a volley. Simple, right? Wrong. It was complex and fraught with arguments that resulted in 'taking my ball home' or some kind of one-off shot to determine if it was a goal or not. Much like those arguments, this podcast will embrace discussions, trends, and ideas to grow the game, and will not let anyone take their ball home early.

Is it fun?
What a great episode.
I’ve been coaching for about eight or nine years and we have a very unique situation on which our home field, for the last few years doesn’t even have a goal.
It’s just a bunch of neighborhood kids that get together and we have a blast. I have gotten much better about slipping in education and coaching on the fly but for the most part, our team is a bunch of friends and has a great time together.
The parents are educated and understand the game because I took the time to explain it to them, the kids could sit down at any English pub, and discuss the intricacies of soccer with any sports fan, yet, they don’t really watch the game at home. They have found the level of this game that they are comfortable with and continue to love the game because they know they have had a blast planet.
This particular episode absolutely nailed it
To see that kind of advice and education from someone at that level is a rarity. Kudos great job. I am definitely following the podcast and continuing to learn from you.

I have enjoyed listening to the Heads and Volleys Podcast. Coach Lee Dunne adds a personal touch to all his episodes and I feel I have some kind of connection/similarities with his guests. Lee really makes you think of as a person and coach.
