Janet has saved my life!!!
I can’t imagine what life would be like if I hadn’t stumbled across this podcast last year. I listen to Janet daily on my long walks and the a-ha moments never seem to stop. I too am highly sensitive and I feel like she’s talking directly to me. I am so much lighter on the inside now! Sometimes during non-preferred moments I exclaim “Janet -help me!”-and that’s all I need to get through it. What an amazing woman with such great insights. Anyone who’s struggling emotionally regardless of weight could use these strategies. Best therapy ever! Thank you dear friend!
I have struggled with emotional eating and drinking all of my adult life. I too am highly sensitive and stuff feelings down for comfort and calming and seek out filling voids with external things. This podcast has taught me to be kinder to myself, far less judgmental, and to tell myself the things I always waited to hear from someone else. I have let myself experience disappointment and frustration release it instead of pouring a vodka and tonic, or stuffing cookies in my face. I am finally practicing new habits that can last. I listen to one of Janets podcasts everyday. It is the number one thing I can do for myself. My family understands and appreciates that I’m happier. I LOVE Janet D Thomas. I would give her a great big hug if I ever met her. She has offered me the friendship I needed to find in myself. ♥️♥️♥️
