Health Science Heroes STEAM Daydream with National Children's Museum

    • Kids & Family

In our first episode, we’re peeling back the layers on pandemics. How have we overcome global diseases in the past? How can learning about neuroscience help us reduce anxiety? You’ll meet nine-year-old Giselle as she interviews two health science heroes: Dr. Joyonna Gamble-George, a neuroscientist whose research focuses on anxiety, and Dr. Jessica Taaffe, a global health scientist working to fight global diseases.

Next month’s podcast will feature experts answering kids’ questions about racism and inequity in America. If you are a kid and have a question you would like answered, please leave us a voice message at anchor.fm/national-childrens-museum/message. Don't forget to begin your recording with your name, age, city, and state!

For STEAM videos, programs, resources and more from National Children’s Museum, check out nationalchildrensmuseum.org. STEAM Daydream with National Children’s Museum is narrated by A.J. Calbert and produced by Aubrey Vaughan, with post-production by Stevie Zampanti of Conceptual Podcasting. Special thanks to IF/THEN, an initiative of Lyda Hill Philanthropies, for connecting us with the scientists in today’s episode.
