    Andrea Jabbal graduated in the Class of 2005 from Stevens with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering. Due to the state of the job market at the time, she would start a career in the medical device industry and go on to take a variety of roles from manufacturing engineering to clinical development. Along the way, she developed a passion for mentoring and continues to offer guidance to others navigating a path to their future. With host Ed Eichhorn, she discusses what she saw and learned from both seeking and giving mentorship and the steps one can take to move their career in a new direction.

    Bob Gialanella graduated Class of 1970 from Stevens, with a BE in Mechanical Engineering. He decided to pursue a medical career after a brief time in the corporate world. This journey started in Angiers, France at the Faculty of Medicine. Years down the line, he would join a GI group practice for the next 20 years, utilizing his engineering background to become a consultant. During this conversation with host Ed Eichhorn, Bob goes over how he approached his unique path to a medical career, the changes he saw with the shift in technology through the years, and how he handled problem solving in medicine coming as someone from an engineering background.

    Donald Kennedy - Class of 1969

    Donald Kennedy graduated from Stevens in the Class of 1969. Throughout his career, Donald forged a path from pre-med student up to becoming the Chief of Medicine at St. Louis City Hospital and a professor at St. Louis University. With The Division of Infectious Diseases at St. Louis University, he oversaw developments in immunology and vaccine research for over 20 years. In 2020, he became a “COVID Czar” during the pandemic due to his familiarity with prevention policies for communicable diseases. With host Ed Eichhorn, Donald describes what changes he has seen as a physician from the 1970’s and onward, the many career path choices he was presented with and how others can approach such decisions in their own careers.

    Phil Crowley - Class of 1971

    Phil Crowley - Class of 1971

    Phil Crowley graduated from Stevens in the Class of 1971, majoring in Physics, as well as from Harvard with an MS in experimental physics. He would also acquire a JD from Columbia Law School.  Phil has utilized his knowledge in both law and science while moving from Wall Street firms to Johnson & Johnson and then to his own firm, Crowley Law, LLC, where he is the Managing Partner. Throughout his career, he’s offered legal assistance to charities and worked to provide scholarships to children in failing schools. With host Ed Eichhorn, Phil guides us through his initial studies, how he managed to apply his scientific background in his legal career, and his experience in helping entrepreneurs realize their dreams.

    Paul Rea graduated from Stevens in 2006 with a degree in Computer Engineering. His career has gone down several paths during and after his college career, ranging from ventures in architecture to broadcasting, among others. After a series of life-changing health events and procedures, he would go on to found the medical device company Ostoh, which aims to make the lives of those living with an ostomy easier. With host Ed Eichhorn, this episode follows Paul's journey through multiple different disciplines and fields of study and how he's managed to utilize knowledge from every one of them along the way.

    Martha Connolly, Class of 1975

    Martha Connolly graduated from Stevens in 1975 with a BS & MS Degree in Chemistry, beginning her undergraduate work among the first class that included female students before starting an active career path based in Maryland. Amongst numerous achievements in multiple fields, her illustrious career includes authoring 36 publications in cardiovascular systems physiology, teaching entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland and eventually becoming listed as one of “Maryland’s 50 Most Influential People” among other accolades. Host Ed Eichhorn talks with Martha about how she navigated the path through her education and career, her experience and thoughts on guiding upcoming students and her continued work post-retirement.
