Tracie Franklin has been an invaluable and well-recognized member of the whisky community for years, but more than that, she’s been a pioneer and a voice for change and diversity. She is a remarkable human being, possessing not only an savant like appreciation of the spirit and industry, but to reuse the word in another context, possessing a spirit infectious in not only the way it challenges you to think, but in the way it challenges you to smile.

Raj Peter Bhakta, founder of Whistle Pig has started a love affair with a different brown liquor - Armagnac.  In typical Bhakta style, this is no regular brandy. Bhakta 50 is a premium spirit inspired by idea of revival. A great story teller, Raj takes me through his time on the Apprentice and getting fired by Trump, his failed run for Congress which ended with his crossing the Mexican/American boarder on an elephant, and he even gives me a never before heard story about the legend Dave Pickerell.

Brian Treacy, Sagamore Spirit, the history of the distillery and the fabled restoration of Maryland Rye plus the whiskey world's reaction to COVID-19 - 06262020

Maryland Rye was once one of the country’s earliest and most sought after expressions of regionalized whiskeys. A flavor profile, a mash bill largely lost to us, but Sagamore Spirit of Baltimore is among a select group of American distilleries attempting to revive this once dominant category.  One of the founders, Brian Treacy, joins me to taste our way through the line and talk about the history of Sagamore Spirits and the amazing but elusive category he and his team have dedicated themselves to restori

Best Place For Information Ever!

I thought a podcast was was a new fangled fishing technique, but due to Hear In Spirit’s interviews, I’ve learned that I should drink more whiskey! What a time to be alive. 5/5 stars. I’ll stop getting all my information from Alex Jones and start getting it all from you! - @bookersbrye

Great podcast for whisky/whiskey enthusiasts

I love this podcast. I’ve been a scotch enthusiast for about 10 years now, and I’m still learning about the intricacies of the spirit. Graham is a great interviewer and I’ve really enjoyed his conversations with so many members of the whisky community. I always listen as soon as it downloads. I look forward to hearing many more episodes.

Dram or dream

As someone who has tasted many a whisky, but has yet to fall in with one...I can say, I have definitely fallen for this podcast. I even believe the possibility that one day, I’ll find the perfect whisky too. The host, Graham, has a clear and focused interview style while keeping it intriguing. It has opened up a view of the passionate whisky community and how they share their love of this spirit. I have no doubt this podcast is for novices and cognoscenti alike.
