Wonderful!
As a huge Mischief fan, I knew this podcast would be good. When a bunch of fantastic storytellers come together to play a game they love and create a story around that game, it creates a beautiful work of art. I know nothing about D&D but the description of the rules and various aspects of gameplay gave me a clear understanding on what was going on. This podcast is just another way the amazing folks at Mischief manage to bring lots of light and laughter into my life.
pure chaos (but with the biggest heart)
as a big dnd live play fan and someone who’s loved watching all of the classics (d20, critical role, naddpod, la by night, etc) — this one by far makes me laugh out loud the most! i’ve been a huge fan of all of these artists and dave’s storytelling is fantastic and ridiculous, and all the characters are a joy to follow and absolute goofs! definitely give them a listen!!!
Puns, Nudity and Jam- Everything You Need in A Terrific Actual Play Podcast
If you enjoy and/or play in DnD, I highly recommend this podcast as something fun and exciting to listen to in between the more intensive actual play podcasts. I love Critical Role and the Dimension 20 campaigns, but this was a very refreshing change.
If you enjoy the works of Mischief Theatre (i.e. The Goes Wrong Show, and The Play That Goes Wrong) but know next to nothing about DnD, I encourage you to give this podcast a listen. Because the players and Game Master are a part of long-running theatre ensemble, their rapport is excellent, and take time to cite a lot of basic rules in gameplay without taking up the whole air-time. They also cause and get involved in many silly shenanigans.
