When you’re going through something hard, it’s easy to feel like nobody out there gets it. But we’re never as alone as we think we are. Every week on Help a Human Out, we’ll meet one person going through something hard...and get them practical help from a person who has been there. Guiding each episode with empathy and humor is host Miss Danielle, former host of a syndicated morning talk show and currently a special educator, mother and fiance.

Nuanced Grief, with Nora McInerny
Grief is complicated. And just because your grief doesn’t meet some trivial standard of what society thinks is grievable, doesn’t make it any less real. On this episode, Ms. Danielle talks with friend, author, TED Talker, podcast host and professional griever (which is a sleek way of saying someone who has experienced a lot of hard things in life) Nora McInerny about nuanced grief and what we are “allowed” to grieve.

Powerful
The episode with you and Sarah is so powerful. I relate. Thank you for sharing.
Goes deeper than typical mental health podcasts
I love that Ms. Danielle GOES there when it comes to self-help topics. Unlike other mental health podcasts that make the individual feel like they’re 100% responsible for their situation, Help a Human Out examines our most human problems from an intersectional lens. I love it.
Love love love
Such a great podcast!! Helping other humans is the beat way to heal the world. Heal yourself, heal the world.
