    What it's like to be an ICU patient

    As nurses, it's important to consider what our patients may be thinking and feeling while they're in our care. If a patient is in the ICU— what emotions may they be feeling? Do they understand what is happening to them? Do they feel confused, disoriented, or panicked? Are they experiencing ICU delirium?
