Such an interesting take on history

I love that this podcast is created by two sisters and their dad. The new season quality is a VAST improvement (thank you!), and it makes listening to history I already found really interesting all the more pleasant. Keep up the great work, y’all!

Excellent!

Why aren't more people listeing to this? Short, accessible episodes about really interesting topics.

Great info, but they need equipment.

I stumbled on this podcast looking for other shows about the histories of corporations. This isn't exactly what I was looking for but it is a great podcast addition, nonetheless.

I will be glad when they get through what seems to be their alcohol phase. I get the importance of alcohol to civilization, but sometimes I feel that this should be called the history of booze cast. Lol

The hosts are great. Meredith Hutchison Hartley is a dead voice ringer for Julia Galef of the podcast Rationally Speaking. I love her knowledge and enthusiasm for the material. She's the type of presenter that make me wish I had paid attention to history more when I was younger. Five out of five stars for her. Frank Hutchison is obviously knowledgeable but he grinds my gears everytime he tries to pronounce fermentation. He pronounces it "formentation". Makes me absolutely crazy! Lol. Emily Geddes rounds out the podcast nicely with her sound knowledge. She's not quite the communicator Mer is, but her knowledge is solid and she's very entertaining.

Of course, the one huge knock is the bad and inconsistent sound quality. There were a couple of episodes I had a hard time listening to because of the sound in the headphones. The room sound almost made me dizzy until I got used to it. They really need to invest in some equipment. I'm no expert in what that may be. But I listen to a ridiculous amount of podcasts and if the hosts weren't so excellent on this one, I would stop listening. They really have to clean this up if they want to continue. The sound quality alone will turn off a lot of listeners.

Aside from that last big complaint, it's an excellent podcast that I'm going to consider donating to if it means better equipment.

Thank you for the podcast if you're reading this!!
