Episode 63: Tell Me a Story with Parul Agrawal

Episode 63: Tell Me a Story with Parul Agrawal

This week on the High Wire Woman podcast, Rosanna Berardi is talking about the importance of telling stories. Her guest, Parul Agrawal, is an expert at this. Parul is a Business Growth Strategist, engineer, TEDx Speaker, and bestselling author. She joins Rosanna to help High Wire Women tell the stories of their lives, and take up space without feeling guilty for doing so.

You'll hear Rosanna and Parul talk about:

What made Parul diverge from her career in engineering.

It's ingrained in women to be humble when talking about their achievements. This is due to societal expectations and media. Women have power and need to start embracing that power and empowering each other.

Just by telling your story, you can impact someone else in ways you won't even realize. Your story can be the motivation and empowerment someone else needs.

Parul talks about the mind map and the book map when writing your story. Start with the central idea then 'branch out' from there with subsections and sub-stories. Another way to get your story out is to record it, then transcribe it.

Writing is powerful, therapeutic, and can change your life. Your story is inspirational even if you never share it with anyone.

Parul talks about her book, The Growth Hacking Book.

Everyone has a story burning inside of them. A story that is worth sharing and that can change lives. You can share that fire with the world and impact so many. Tell your story!

Episode 62: Don't Worry, Be Happy: A Chat with Happiness Expert Kim Strobel

Episode 62: Don't Worry, Be Happy: A Chat with Happiness Expert Kim Strobel

This week on the High Wire Woman podcast, Rosanna Berardi is getting happy. Her guest, Kim Strobel, is a happiness expert and coach. Kim has spent her career helping business leaders prioritize their health and well-being so they can reach new heights in both their personal and professional lives. Kim joins Rosanna to share her insight on happiness and what it means, and what High Wire Women can do to ensure their own well-being.

You'll hear Rosanna and Kim talk about:

Women tend to end up in 'the gutter' because they want to function in a space of high energy, but also feel guilty about doing so because of their other responsibilities.

Pass off the things in your life that allow you the time to do the things you actually want to do.

Break the cycle of trying to fit into the box society expects you to fit into.

Take time every day to do something that makes you happy.

Everyone has a set happiness baseline and level, and they are different for everyone. Happiness levels can change by percentages due to circumstances but eventually revert to the baseline. "Every human being has the ability to increase their happiness levels by up to 40% and that has to do with your actions, your thoughts, and your behaviors," Kim says.

Kim talks about what she has upcoming for 2022.

Happiness isn't determined by what you have or who you are. Happiness is determined by your thoughts, actions, and behaviors.

Episode 61: An Amazing Community of Women: A Talk with Jill Salzman

Episode 61: An Amazing Community of Women: A Talk with Jill Salzman

This week on the High Wire Woman podcast, Rosanna Berardi is talking about community. Her guest, Jill Salzman, is an author and the founder of The Founding Moms. She is also the host of the Why Are We Shouting Podcast. Jill joins Rosanna to share the importance of having a community, and how it helps working High Wire Women in entrepreneurship.

You'll hear Rosanna and Jill talk about:

Jill started her community by gathering mompreneurs. "I was looking for answers to 'How do you do your marketing when you have a screaming baby? How do you do drop-offs when you're trying to figure out your sales?'" Jill says. Now that meeting has transformed into an online community where members can access a plethora of video courses on entrepreneurship.

The typical founding mom faces loneliness and needs a community to bounce ideas off of. She needs people to help her and give her advice. Having other people around who understand what you're going through, and what you're carrying is extremely helpful. It also helps you grow as an entrepreneur.

Jill talks about the upcoming events she has for 2022, and the new activities for members that will happen as well.

Rosanna and Jill talk about Jill's webinar in January, and where High Wire Women can go to learn more.

There is no such thing as failure in entrepreneurship. Learn from your mistakes then do better.

As a mompreneur, community is important. You need people around to encourage and support you and that's what Jill Salzman can help you with.

Episode 58: Stop Procrastinating & Start Doing: Mridu Parikh Tells Us How

Episode 58: Stop Procrastinating & Start Doing: Mridu Parikh Tells Us How

This week on the High Wire Woman podcast, Rosanna Berardi is getting organized. Her guest, Mridu Parikh, is the founder of Life is Organized. Mridu is also a productivity expert, author, and the host of the Productivity on Purpose Podcast. She joins Rosanna to share tips on how High Wire Women can get organized, despite their busy schedules.

You'll hear Rosanna and Mridu talk about:

How Mridu started Life is Organized.

The same strategy you use to organize your clothing is the same strategy you can use to organize your life.

In your everyday tasks and errands, identify the goal and purpose of those tasks and act accordingly. When you start there, you can reverse engineer.

Work with the time and space you have.

Declutter and take out tasks that don't fit, or delegate where you can. Get rid of what doesn't make you happy, and what you don't enjoy doing.

Create a system that makes work easier for yourself, and establish and uphold boundaries around that system.

Mridu talks about the services she provides to her clients.

With the right roadmap, guidelines and the right hands holding them, even the most chaotically organized people can go to a more in control, and more organized lifestyle.
