#074 My Octopus Teacher
Hey squiddos, this week we’re getting high and reviewing the soul-touching and Oscar-winning Netflix documentary My Octopus Teacher! It’s a review suggested by our good bud Mae on Instagram…Thanks, Mae! Also, Tom’s back, and he reveals that he’s been digging into the story about how Chris stole an IMDb acting credit (from another guy named Chris Newth) after IMDb listed Highbrow Reviews Chris as the art handler in the 2014 John Travolta & Christopher Plummer movie The Forger. All that and much much more on today’s multi-legged episode of HBR. It’s a real 1-2 punch!
Also, do you have a fun weed story? A first-time-high story? A new segment idea? Favorite things to do high? Suggestions for what to watch? Or maybe just random questions for Claire, Chris, & Max? We want to hear from you! Email us your questions or stories to highbrowreviews@gmail.com and we’ll go through our mailbag in an upcoming show. We’d love to hear from you!
Andddd if you wanna be one of our best buds, feel free to subscribe, rate, review, blah bladdy blah blah (all of that really helps!) but mainly just let the laughs take you away for an hour and enjoy the ride, then gently and with permission subscribe to Highbrow Reviews on all your friends’ phones for them.

#073 Plan B on Hulu (no spoilers, but plenty of dick)
Hey bloomers, we got a fun spoiler-free romp of a show today reviewing the new Hulu movie Plan B! We’re talking the right way to hold hands, the history of Prince Albert (both the man & the penis piercing), and Claire’s disgust at Moses Storm’s dick. Plus, Chris learns that his dead nana may have peed on his copy of Tale of Two Cities. All that and surprisingly heartfelt takes on friendship, losing virginity, and the freedom of coming out of the closet in today’s jam-packed episode of HBR!

#072 Chopped 420!
Hey snickerdoodles, this week we’re reviewing the new cooking competition show that’s as high as we are—Chopped 420 on Discovery+. The show’s formula is simple: Weed + food + Ron Funches = we loved it! Plus, a surprise review of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Houseplant indica strain! But before anything can happen, Chris and Claire each have confessions to tell each other.

#071 Tina Fey’s Girls5eva on Peacock
Hey honey grams, today we got a spoiler-free review of Tina Fey’s super funny new Peacock show Girls5Eva, just in time for you to hear about it for the first time! Claire’s out this week but Max & Chris are joined by the one and only Curtis Rainsberry, who’s sorta our Alec Baldwin (in that he holds the record for guest hosting and yells at his kids mostly over the phone).

#070 The Mitchells vs. the Machines
Hey boo-boos, it’s time to review the animated movie that’s been trending on Netflix since it came out—The Mitchells vs. The Machines! Chris took edibles for the first time in a while for this episode and it becomes super obvious very quickly. Also (and somewhat related), Max reveals Neil Young’s famous method for coming down if you’re ever a little too high.

#069 Sasquatch documentary on Hulu
Hey cutie patooties, we’re going a little scary this week with a review the dark and moody Hulu documentary “Sasquatch” totally high out of our minds (the theme continues!). Max is out this week, so our buddy & recent high Masked Singer reviewer Tom Bensinger stopped by to join Claire & Chris to review all things Bigfoot. We’re talking witches, vampires, and how people on the west coast say Sasquatch while people on the east coast say Bigfoot. Also, which one of us believes in them? Plus, Chris reveals some big news: he’s an actor now. And Tom hosts a game for us. Phew—we really packed everything in this week!

Great high or just brow
The three hosts have excellent chemistry and they're rapport is warm and inviting. It does what all good podcasts do, which is make you feel apart of the fun, whether you're high or nigh.
Soooo funny
This show is hilarious. The hosts are super likeable, the theme song is sick, the LPM (laughs per minute) is through the roof! Check it out!
