[HIS & HER PEP TALK] Navigating your "New Normal‪"‬ EmpowerHER

    • Self-Improvement

In this episode:
Progress comes from pushing through the tough stuff
Embracing what your new normal will be
Doing the best you can, is always enough
Taking inventory & focusing on strong communication
Hey girl! Please help me welcome back to the show, my fiance Seena! We’ve been getting great feedback from these little His & Her Pep Talk episodes, so we are here for another one! He is an enneagram 3 & I’m a 7, so our brains just think completely differently & we each bring such a different perspective to conversations. Very recently, I was feeling very overwhelmed & like I wasn’t sure if I could really handle everything that I had going on. So many exciting things, but I just was wondering if I was really capable. I texted Seena, and his response was what sparked this entire episode. We’re talking about this new normal we are currently in & learning to navigate through new seasons in life that we’ve never been through before. I really think you are going to jam with this conversation & we can’t wait to hear what you think girl!

Quotes:
“Anything that’s new is hard, because you’ve just never done it before for the first time… but that’s where progress comes from.” - Kacia
“Leaving that comfort zone just feels scary & kind of messy, you don’t know what’s going on, but when you look back 6 months, you really appreciate how far along you’ve come.” - Seena
“I’m not labeling this stress as something I can’t manage, I’m learning that this stress is the skills & the coping mechanisms & the tools & the perspective that I need to develop.” - Kacia
