Propound breadth

Linguistic evolution through narrative of social/historical eras. In many ways a means of negating the current chauvinism of British separatism.
Excellent symmetry of the Harvard “live” lecture and await the pond “jump” to American English given the hints of ancestry still extant in Appalachia.
Lovely work Kevin; you are entitled to give us your full name in each episode and not be so self-effacing. Your program is singularly brilliant.

Curious about the English Language?

This podcast is one of my favorites, as I work on catching up in chronological order. A fascinating and highly detailed view of English from its Indo-European origins. I studied linguistics in Grad School and this podcast stirs 40 year old memories and fills in a lot of gaps. Highly recommended.
