Customer Reviews
Love this podcast!
I have so enjoyed listening to this podcast and learning more about beloved characters and places in the Tolkien legendarium. I have even more respect for you after hearing this episode in support of “The Rings of Power”—solid, reasoned arguments against the “haters” show your love for Tolkien’s world. I think Tolkien would be in favor of his work sparking new imaginings and ideas. All the valuable lessons about bravery, friendship, and seeking the good path are there in “The Rings of Power” and that’s what is most important. Tolkien’s larger messages are being spread and the values of the world he created are shared.
Rings of Power
You hit right on the money with the haters for the rings of power series. There are things that I don’t like but I get why they did it especially with Galadriel being a established character people will recognize and If they would actually watch they tried to include first age stuff the best they could without having the rights to the Silmarillion. The racist reviews are ridiculous for sure cause the lore does talk about darker skin. Once the show hits its stride I’m curious on how they do the time for the second age cause the Appendix is very vague on what happen and I haven’t read the lost tales or fall of numenor yet.
Leave out the politics
I happen to enjoy this show although I wish new episodes would come out more often.
My issue is in the episode attacking critics of rings of power . Calling all critics racist is completely unacceptable, let others have an opinion without attacking their character, just as you are entitled to your own opinion.
Please stick to Middle earth leave out our earths stupid culture wars.
