Hitman in the Hand of Buddha The Martial Arts Mania Podcast

    • TV & Film

New episode alert! Gavin and I are officially BACK! We apologize about the long absence, but worry no more! We are back and better than ever! For our first episode of 2022, we tackle one of my all time favorite Kung Fu movies, the 1981 kicking classic, ‘Hitman in the Hand of Buddha’. Directed by and starring the legendary Hwang Jang Lee, this rare example of the legendary ‘boot master’ playing a good guy is a real treat. With stellar fight choreography by Cory Yuen and Hoi Mang, as well as an outstanding supporting cast featuring familiar faces such as the great Eddy Ko and sinister Tino Wong, this picture is a real treat for Kung Fu film aficionados! A plethora of intricately choreographed fight sequences, great locales, as well as an amazing (albeit copyright infringed) soundtrack, any true fan of martial arts cinema shouldn’t miss this one! Listen in as we break down all sort of different elements of the film, why we recommend it and how you can go about watching it! Don’t forget to subscribe, like and share with your friends!
