WKRP in Cincinnati was one of the great American sitcoms, underappreciated in its own time but kept alive in syndication and deeply loved by the kids and teenagers who grew up with it in the 1970s and 80s. In each episode of the podcast, we’ll discuss two episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati. You can watch along with us, but you don’t need to watch to enjoy the podcast. Each episode is a jumping-off point for a wide-ranging discussion of TV and radio history and the politics and culture of the Carter to Reagan years.

Don’t stop believin...
Since we don’t have new episodes of WKRP, this is the next best thing. Fun to watch an episode then listen to a podcast.
Baby, if you ever wondered...
If WKRP holds up many years later? Yes. If this podcast is witty, insightful, a little nutty at times, and just what you need right now? Yes, yes, yes!
Boogerrrrrrr!!!
Heeeey, Fellow Babies...
I’ve been a fan of the show since childhood, I was inspired to go into radio, enjoyed a 25+ year career, and now am a TV Producer, and like most people in broadcasting, this show holds a special place with me, and still holds up after a lotta years! Radio has changed, but some things in the show still very much sync right up with WKRP 1978.
I just found this podcast, and look forward to tracking thru all episodes!
Oh, I also used my production skills in completely restoring every song and every cut scene back into the original series as it originally aired. I have the complete seemried on dvd with every original song in place!
Thanks again for this podcast!!
