Ferdie got his start DJing in early 90s on WJMF, Smithfield, R.I. He served as Music Director for 3 years curating playlists for multiple genres and gave DJs the station's weekly top tracks. His legendary show, Massive Rhetoric, showcased his eclectic sensibilities in alternative/underground music and reached 3 states in the New England region. He also performed interviews for the station; musical performers like Moby, Altern8, Jesus Jones, and David Byrne. After moving to the west coast, Burning man brought him back to DJing and the sense of community through music.
