We are live, on-location at the TCL Chinese Theatre for the 19th annual Oscar Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, as the official podcast partner. These shorter, special episodes are with selected filmmakers.
Bre and Inde sit down with Emily Nash (Writer/Executive Producer/Lead Actor) and Emily Lerer (Director) to discuss their film “Judy-ism.” They discuss building a creative relationship after meeting each other through a Jewish Facebook group and building from inception to post-production. They tell how they pulled from their networks to be able to build a heavily Jewish team. A conversation on how they learned to trust each other and their team to leaned into each other’s creative decisions through forcing Nash switch into only acting-mode to shooting outdoor in torrential rains.
