Diva Trek - Balance of Terror
Are we ready for some Romulans?! The drama of it all!
In this episode of Holodeck Divas we discuss the classic Star Trek Original Series episode "Balance of Terror" (s1e14). The historical signifcance of this episode can't be overstated, but it is still a television show that was made in 1966, so not everything aged very well. Still, Kirk had a classic line in this episode that set the stage for the rest of The Trek. Listen and find out what the divas had to say about this episode! -
Diva Trek - The Corbomite Maneuver

Where no Diva….
Love the Divas from their other podcasts and was intrigued when they announced this one. Most of my Star Trek exposure comes from watching random episodes with grandpa and repeatedly watching the newest movies with mom. I never got around to watching most of the original show because of the 1960’s of it all, but now that I have someone to help me parse through it I’m giving it another shot. I love hearing about all the behind the scenes background that I honestly never would have known about without you guys, you’re helping me take my nerdiness to a whole new horizon. Side note, that ship blows up counter is going to break if you ever get to the 2010s movies lol. You guys are amazing, all the love to you!!!
I love the Divas
I left a commentary like a million years ago on a clone wars episode of the Dark Side Divas and y’all are just wonderful! I am SO EXCITED to jump into my favorite franchise of all time with my favorite podcasters of inappropriate hilarity
Leave your bigotry in your quarters
… there’s no room for it on the bridge -Kirk When I found out that the chaotic dynamic duo behind Dark Side Divas was doing a Trek podcast, I literally jumped for joy! As a recent Trekkie who *consumed* the entirety of the Star Trek franchise over the past year or so, I am so excited to hear their thoughts and opinions about my new favourite franchise (and can’t wait for them to get to Lower Decks in 20 years). Their lack of patience for bigots and ethical slutty energy is exactly what Jim Kirk would want and I can’t wait to boldly go with them as they shine a warm and inclusive light into an internet full of negativity and bigotry. They truly embody the spirit of ‘Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations’ 🖖🏼 Remember, haters, infinite diversity cannot exist where bigots are present. Star Fleet is made up of explorers, yes, but also Warf wields a bat’leth for a reason, to defend the ship from those who would seek exclusion and fascism and Steph on tiktok has big Klingon Warrior Honour vibes 10/10 I’d give them more stars if Apple would let me
