Horror Movie Survival Guide is a weekly podcast where two unlikely gorehounds and long time chums, one a hardcore horror fan with a notebook to prove it, and the other finally coming out of the creepy horror fandom closet - watch and talk about horror film from a survival point of view. We ask the question - how can *we* end up as the final girl? Join Julia Marchese and Teri Gamble as we take a deep dive into everything from OG horror to newly released films (but preferably classics on VHS). We'll talk about obscure details that no one else notices, spin off into alternate casting universes, crush on some foxy, dodgy fellows (and creepy uncles), and arm ourselves with the knowledge necessary to become The Final Girl.

Merry Xmas from HMSG!
Happy & Merry to you!
Black Christmas - "Let me lick it"
A well made, well acted and super awesome Christmas horror flick!
Session 9 - "It's gonna get ugly."

A lot of great content... but, I miss Marion :(
🔪🪓🩸just horror-ble fun
The short of it: I love the commentary, the different perspectives of some of my favorite horror movies, and the factoids.
Keep the episodes coming!
“Like... then like... so like this one like thing...”
I’m on the poltergeist episode & omg... the use of the word “like” between these two hosts ... I can’t even get thru it... their research, the movie choices, the chemistry between hosts, all great but the insanely repetitive use of the word “like” makes them sound very valley girl & cringeworthy. I really hope the rest of the episodes aren’t like this but I think it’s just a really bad habit that will follow every sentence spoken unfortunately.
