Each week in the queer horror podcast Horror Queers, Joe Lipsett and Trace Thurman tackle a horror film with LGBTQ+ themes, a high camp quotient or both. For these lifelong queer horror fans, there’s as much value in serious discussions about representation as there is in reading a ridiculously silly/fun horror film with a YAS KWEEN mentality. Just know that at no point will they be getting Babashook.

The boys hit the Canadian West Coast for a weekend retreat at the palatial island home of their Vassar friend, Muffy St. John , but the weekend doesn't go quite as planned. There are secret abortion cassettes, utterly unfathomable sex positions and some of the worst 80s fashion we've ever seen. Oh...and murder.

Do you like scary movies?

Then, you should definitely listen to this podcast. I am always looking forward to new episodes. Trace and Joe are very entertaining and I’ve discovered some great movies like Jawbreaker by listening to these guys.

Loved the Jason X ep, but

I totally buy that they wouldn’t know Hockey (I mean, please don’t ask me what games people played in the 1600’s) and that people would have the same kinks (I mean, I know they did the same stuff sexually in the 1600’s) so...
but you’re right on about the slang. And clothes. No imagination.

Grown. Funny. Insightful. Sexy.

And I ❤️ it. Great podcast with interesting perspectives and info to shed new light on movies that scared the crap out of me as a kid and ones I’ve missed completely. Trace and Joe are hilarious, have wonderful chemistry, and are a fantastic hang. For grown folks only and I ❤️ it!!!!! Yep, said it twice.
