Matt and Charlie watched everything. Josh watched 5 movies and all the shorts, because he is the lazy one. (Note: The rest of the podcast doesn’t necessarily agree that Josh is the lazy one, some believe there is no lazy one, only Zuul.) Episode 454 – Have Your Egg Bags Ready

Movies discussed: Nocebo, Leave, The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion, Midnight Snack (short) This week we dig all of Nocebo, half of Leave, and think The Witch would be better if it weren’t only half a movie. Also, this week we saw the most appalling, soul-rending and disgusting thing we’ve ever seen in our 11 years of horror movie watching. It wasn’t blood, guts or gore, either. Just four words and two hyphens: Hard-boiled eggs and 7-Up. Next episodes assignments: Panic Fest 2023! Yeah we’re gonna plow through as much content as we can in the Virtual Festival. You should too! Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next episode.

Episode 453 – Mosh Pit Jesus

Movies discussed: M3gan, Scream VI, We Have a Ghost, Death and the Winemaker (short) We’re back in the saddle and hyped to talk about Scream VI – is it the best sixth installment of a horror franchise ever? Could be! We’re also pretty sold on M3gan and can’t wait for M3g4n. We Have a Ghost…well, it’s charming, but got a little Netflix’d in the delivery. Next episodes assignments: Nocebo The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion Leave Midnight Snack (short) Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next episode.

Quality commentary & hilarity all in one podcast

I'd like to preface this review by saying I do not watch nearly as many horror movies now as I did when I was a child (and probably shouldn't have been but it was something my father and I both enjoyed and bonded over). I enjoy listening to HSHD 1) because I enjoy listening to people discuss topics that they are passonate and knowledgable about and 2) these guys are funny AF. Even if you aren't a horror fanatic, give it a shot. Maybe you'll discover a hidden gem or, at the very least, have a good laugh.

didn’t know what I was missing

These guys changed my outlook from “I won’t enjoy this movie because don’t like to be scared” to “so worth it”! I thought classics like Scream and Halloween were just exceptions, but now some of my favorite movies are ones I only know about from this podcast, especially horror-comedies like Dead Snow and Stitches. This show is also why I finally watched A Nightmare on Elm Street and learned that "chills down your spine” isn’t always an idiom. I still let most of the movies go unwatched, but they can always deliver what I’m really listening for: fun conversations!

Great!

This podcast gets my seal of approval. It is a great way to start or end your day, or maybe for some time in the middle.
