Poppin' Corks with Winemaker Eric Jensen
On our first Hot Pizza Ass road trip Erin and Zach Harper (NBA Radio, Count the Dings) went to visit Eric Jensen, critically acclaimed winemaker at Booker in Paso Robles and host of Poppin’ Corks podcast. We share a bottle of Krug as Eric tells us his story of how he left a career producing music festivals behind, to enter the wine industry - an industry that requires patience, and a very different skill set as a farmer. This is an episode about growth, changing the aristocratic culture of the wine industry, and the importance of building community. Eric's built a strong one and he's actively giving back to address systemic issues at the root, and change the accessibility and exclusive culture of the wine industry. It’s an inspiring conversation that I know you’ll enjoy.
Breaking barriers Stories of wine gone bad Accepting failure, and using it to your advantage Why the price tag doesn’t really matter when it comes to drinking wine The systemic issues within the wine industry Embracing change Why putting employees first is important for leadership

What a lovely soul!
Erin is incredible! As a host and the way she relates to and with her listeners is inspiring! She is smart and profound and really carries her podcast in a way that keeps you dialed in. I always find myself so in tune with her experiences and stories. Thank you Erin for your sincerity and the light you bring to us in this sometimes bleak world.
Toxic bikini body culture
It's surprising that any company is that tone-deaf, and yet now that I've been paying more attention to the messages / images contained in the marketing of many companies I use, I see it's more common than I had noticed. I've started emailing them and pointing out that it offends me. Thanks for the nudge Erin!!
Love love love this episode. Never been one for self care or confidence but I’m getting there and episodes like this help me get there every day :)
