How an Appalachian Trail Hiker Discovered His Cooking Passion with Chef Mark Molinaro ShandeeLand

Choosing a career can be hard when you have no idea what you want to do. Our special guest, Chef Mark Molinaro, didn’t discover his passion for food and cooking until later on in his life. Although his career path was initially unclear, this didn't stop him from succeeding. Mark now serves as Interim Executive Director and Senior Lecturer at Northern Arizona University’s School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. In this episode, Mark shared how he found his passion in cooking after four months of hiking on the Appalachian Trail. We also discussed some of the life skills that he learned from this challenging experience. Mark then shared some of the most important skills and lessons that he is instilling in his culinary students.
