I had just moved to a state I had never been to with no job, no place to live, without knowing a single soul, no money, $120,000 in debt, and less than $2,000 to my name after I had sold everything I had in LA to move for a boy. What was I thinking?
I’ll tell you what I was thinking. I was 24, I was making good money in retail in LA but still had nothing to show for it. I had nothing to lose and everything to lose at the same time. But I knew one thing…
There was just no way I was going to be able to pay off $120,000 of debt cutting out my lattes, rolling over a few hundred dollars of extra money I just didn’t have, continue to have 2 jobs and a side hustle for the next 30 years and only then, be able to retire and start living my life and traveling the world.
In this episode, I’ll share how our motto “Life doesn’t have to suck while you work towards your financial goals” lead us into finding another way to pay off our debt and why we focused on building our real estate business instead.
